Abraham Zamora

President, Mexico and Chief Sustainability Officer

Since 2024, he serves as President – Mexico of Sempra Infrastructure and since 2023 as Chief Sustainability Officer. Under his responsibility are the areas of public and external affairs, permitting, sustainability and communications. Abraham joined the Sempra family of companies in 2018.

Abraham has a professional career of over 25 years in public and private sectors. He was CEO of Mexico’s development bank BANOBRAS, Vice Chairman of the Latin American Association of Development Finance Institutions (ALIDE), and he held different positions in the Ministries of Finance, of Foreign Affairs, of Communications, and in the Office of the President of Mexico. In the private sector, he was the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at Grupo Aeroméxico and Chairman of Mexico’s National Chamber of Air Transport (CANAERO).

Abraham Zamora is also Chairman of the Mexican Energy Association (AME), member of the Board of Directors of the Council of the Americas, the Institute of the Americas, and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and member of Advisory Board of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies of the University of California - San Diego (UCSD).

Abraham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and Master's degrees in Public Administration and Public Policy from Columbia University, and in Political Economy from the University of Essex.
