September is Hunger Action Month, and at Sempra LNG, we were glad to participate by partnering with the Houston Food Bank and the San Diego Food Bank to take a stand against hunger.
This past weekend, 40 Sempra volunteers contributed over 160 volunteer hours to the Houston Food Bank. Their service hours helped fill 4,600 bins of food and also helped provide over 3,600 meals that will be donated to those in need.
“This is just one more way our employees are delivering energy with purpose,” said Kelly Prasser, senior manager of external affairs. “There is so much need in our communities right now. It was wonderful having so many generous employees, along with their families, giving their energy to our local food banks to help keep our communities healthy and safe.”
Sempra and Sempra LNG will also be matching 3×1 any employee donations to the Houston Food Bank and the Jacob and Cushman’s San Diego Food Bank, and will contribute $10 per hour for every hour of volunteer service.
Sempra LNG is committed to the communities where we live and work. We invest time, talent and financial resources to help improve the quality of life for our community, neighbors and employees. By partnering with local organizations and leadership, we maintain our commitment to making a positive difference in our communities.
