At Sempra Infrastructure, we believe diversity and inclusion makes us a stronger team and we have created a workplace where every person is respected, valued and fully able to participate.
In 2020, we launched an internal program to continue to champion and empower women at Sempra Infrastructure. GROW, which stands for growing responsibilities and opportunities for women, is committed to fostering and supporting the growth and development of women at Sempra Infrastructure and strives to be an avenue for resources, discussion and change.
The vision of GROW is to be the premier energy infrastructure champion for women’s career development.
GROW recently celebrated its third anniversary, commemorating three successful years of championing women’s career development, and honoring the great work GROW Ambassadors have done towards fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
Led by an executive committee and supported by the coordination of many GROW Ambassadors, the program has successfully carried out various initiatives such as career and personal development workshops, an educational speaker series and numerous networking events across the U.S. and Mexico.
“During my time as the GROW Ambassadors’ Chair, I’ve learned about the similarities and differences that women are challenged with in their career development,” said Ana Noriega, LNG JV operations manager and GROW Ambassadors chair. “Participating in GROW has been an amazing experience that has provided me the opportunity to get to know and work with extraordinary women across our organization, both from Mexico and the U.S.”
Women continue to be underrepresented in the energy industry. The GROW program seeks to contribute towards a more representative and equitable organization by championing a culture that promotes women, integrates allies and advances women’s leadership opportunities.
