For the third consecutive year, Port Arthur LNG is proud to support the United Board of Missions’ Share-A-Toy program in support of those in most need in our communities.
This year more than ever, the United Board of Missions is depending on the kindness of organizations and individuals to help brighten this holiday season by donating new toys to serve over 600 children in mid and south Jefferson County.
“As a company committed to safety, we are so impressed with how this organization is pivoting this year and working diligently to follow Covid-19 protocols to make this a healthy and safe holiday for children in Port Arthur and the surrounding communities,” said Kelly Prasser, external affairs senior manager for Sempra LNG.
The toy program is just one of the many services the United Board of Missions provides to the community. Throughout the year, the non-profit organization provides rental and utility assistance as well as emergency food needs. They also administer the Meals on Wheels program, delivering hot meals twice weekly to seniors and homebound individuals. Port Arthur LNG, along with the Sempra Energy Foundation, also made grants earlier this year to support these efforts as part of its COVID-relief campaign.
“We’re so grateful for the commitment and generosity to the 2020 Share A Toy program,” said Mae Terro, executive director for the United Board of Missions. “Without companies such as Port Arthur LNG, we would be having a very difficult time providing the assistance to the people in our area.”
The assigned curbside toy distribution is planned for December 10-15. For more information about the program, contact Debbie Perkins, Program Coordinator at [email protected] or visit the https://www.facebook.com/UBMofSETX
