Women’s Equality Day commemorates the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits denying citizens the right to vote on the basis of gender. At Sempra Infrastructure, we celebrate women every day by fostering a diverse and inclusive culture committed to living our values of doing the right thing, championing people and shaping the future.
In 2020, we launched an internal program to continue to champion and empower women at Sempra Infrastructure. GROW, which stands for growing responsibilities and opportunities for women, is committed to fostering and supporting the growth and development of our female employees. The vision of GROW is to be the premier energy infrastructure champion for women’s career development.
“The GROW program is a way for us to help develop our female employees and their careers,” said Cindy Molina, director – organizational development and inclusion for Sempra Infrastructure. “Whether it’s through education, mentoring or opportunities to lead projects, our goal is to provide the tools and resources for career advancement and visibility across the organization.”
Women in the energy sector continue to be underrepresented. The GROW program strives to be an avenue for resources, discussion and change. The GROW team has been exploring new initiatives and programs which support the professional and personal development of female leaders at Sempra Infrastructure such as the new subcommittee, GROW Ambassadors. The team is made up of female managers who lead and execute GROW’s initiatives via events, communication, networking, and education.
“I have a strong passion to achieve equity for women,” said Bo Rogers, director – Cameron LNG JV management and GROW ambassador. “I’m proud to be part of an organization that embraces diversity and actively promotes inclusivity and growth opportunities for women.”
