The Sempra Infrastructure Foundation recently donated over seven million pesos to the Mexican Red Cross (CRM) to install solar panels at its National Headquarters and Hospital in Mexico City and in its hospitals in Aguascalientes, Durango, Ensenada, Hermosillo, and Tlalnepantla.
The installation of these solar panels will enable the Mexican Red Cross to reduce its carbon footprint and ensure a sustainable energy supply for its activities. The cost savings from this renewable energy initiative could be channeled into strengthening and improving essential services, such as medical care for patients in hospitals and clinics, further enhancing the Mexican Red Cross’s ability to serve the community.
The Power of Collaboration
This initiative is a testament to the power of collaboration. It is part of the Sempra Infrastructure Foundation’s four pillars of action: Education for the future, Emergency relief, Employee engagement, and Sustainable electrification. The joint commitment between the Sempra Infrastructure Foundation and the Mexican Red Cross is not just about installing solar panels, but about transforming and improving people’s lives. Together, we are paving the way towards a cleaner and more accessible energy future.
