Tania Ortiz Mena
Tania Ortiz Mena is president of Sempra Infrastructure. In this role, Ortiz Mena leads the company’s three business lines: LNG, low carbon solutions, and energy networks.
From 2021 to 2023, Ortiz Mena was group president for Clean Power and Energy Networks at Sempra Infrastructure. Before taking this role, she was IEnova’s CEO and a member of its board of directors. She began her career at the Sempra family of companies in 2000. From 1994 to 1999, Ortiz Mena was commercial manager of Refined Products in PMI, PEMEX international subsidiary.
Additionally, Ortiz Mena serves as independent board member of the Mexican Stock Exchange and chairs its Corporate Practices Committee. She is also member of the U.S.-Japan Business Council and co-chairs its Energy and Infrastructure Working Group, member of the U.S.-Mexico CEO Dialogue and board member of the Mexican Natural Gas Association, the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations COMEXI, the American Chamber of Commerce Mexico AMCHAM, and member of the Inter-American Dialogue. From 2020 to 2022 Ortiz Mena was co-chair of the U.S.-Mexico Energy Business Council.
Ortiz Mena holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana.
